Ocular complication of PhotoDerm VL therapy for facial port-wine stain.

AbstractBACKGROUND:
A case of focal damage to the iris with distortion of the pupil secondary to PhotoDerm therapy in a 2-year-old boy is reported.
OBJECTIVE:
To study ocular complication of photoDerm VL therapy for facial port-wine stain. METHODS. : Observatory case report.
RESULTS:
PhotoDerm VL therapy may damage ocular tissues.
CONCLUSION:
Appropriate protection during the procedure is essential.
