Laparoscopic cholecystectomy for gallbladder ascariasis.

Abstract
A case is presented of persistent gallbladder infestation by Ascaris lumbricoides that was successfully treated by laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The management of this rare manifestation of ascariasis is reviewed.
