Prenatal diagnosis of two cases of gastroschisis following alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) screening.

Abstract
Two cases of gastroschisis were diagnosed antenatally following maternal serum AFP screening in midtrimester of the pregnancy, using ultrasonography, amniography and amniocentesis. The AFP screening program detected 4 congenital malformations but missed 4 malformations due to false negative AFP serum values.
