The use of dextranomer in decubitus ulcers: a histopathologic evaluation.

Abstract
The decubitus ulcers of 4 patients being treated with dextranomer for up to three months were examined. Histopathologic sections showed only a minimal inflammatory response and no irritation. Dextranomer may be used for long periods without any tissue damage.
