Abstract | PURPOSE OF REVIEW: This is an update on skeletal muscle sodium channelopathies since knowledge in the field have dramatically increased in the past years. RECENT FINDING: SUMMARY: Advances in the understanding of the molecular structure of voltage-gated sodium channels, as well as availability of preclinical models, would lead to improved medical care of patients suffering from skeletal muscle, as well as other sodium channelopathies.
