Hyperkeratotic oral lichen planus role of vitamin A.

Abstract
Chronic tobacco chewing and smoking have been implicated as precipitating factors for the development of oral lichen planus (OLP). We here report a case of chronic cigarette smoker who developed OLP plaque, without any other clinical pattern of OLP and skin involvement, which did not respond to conventional corticosteroid treatment and dapsone, but responded when vitamin A was added.
