Abstract | PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prognosis and treatment of infection of the maxillary sinus associated with dental implants. METHODS: Oral and radiographic general clinical features of 2 patients who developed maxillary sinusitis after implant placement. RESULTS: CONCLUSION: It was concluded that acute maxillary sinusitis should be treated with a direct approach to the maxillary sinus via lateral wall opening, regular irrigation in hospital, and antibiotics.
