Abstract | OBJECTIVE: METHODS: Ninety cases of migraine were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, 45 cases in each group. The treatment group were treated with point-through- point acupuncture and the control group with normal needling method. Brain blood flow velocity was determined by TCD before and after treatment. RESULTS: The effective rate was 97.8% in the treatment group, which was better than 80.0% in the control group (P < 0.05). And the point-through- point acupuncture could significantly improve the highest mean blood flow velocity of main arteries, with a significant difference between the two groups after treatment (P < 0.05).
