[Long-term study "Neurodermatitis therapy using urea-containing Externa". Experience report of a pediatrician].

Abstract

The experience gained in the pediatric sector within the framework of a neurodermatitis study on the use of urea and urea/hydrocortisone combinations will be reported. Particularly in young children, these preparations yield very good results, even after short-term use. The compliance of the patients is increased because, using alternating therapy, these preparations quickly make it possible for the patients to responsibly help determine their own therapy. The active participation of the parents in therapy makes it easier for the therapist to improve access to the psychosomatic environment of the disease. The consistent use of urea/hydrocortisone and urea preparations is a valuable enhancement of an all-encompassing neurodermatic therapy.
