[Clinics in prostate cancer].

Abstract
The prostate gland is characterized by the age-dependent development of abnormal proliferative disease, i.e., benign prostate hyperplasia and prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the most important disease in our country among the elderly population. The diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer have been dramatically improved due to the development of PSA screening, transrectal ultrasonography and new anti-androgen drugs, such as LH-RH analog, with fewer side effects. In this article, the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer are summarized.
