Abstract | BACKGROUND: METHODS: Patients who required extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy for cystic duct stones were identified in a cohort of 239 patients with bile duct stones treated by extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy between January 1989 and December 2001 at a single institution.
