Nitric Oxide Synthase Type II (Inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase)

A CALCIUM-independent subtype of nitric oxide synthase that may play a role in immune function. It is an inducible enzyme whose expression is transcriptionally regulated by a variety of CYTOKINES.
