Endothelin B Receptor

A subtype of endothelin receptor found predominantly in the KIDNEY. It may play a role in reducing systemic ENDOTHELIN levels.
Also Known As:
Receptor, Endothelin B; Endothelin B-2 Receptors; Endothelin B 2 Receptor; Endothelin B 2 Receptors; Receptor, Endothelin B-2; Receptors, Endothelin B; Receptors, Endothelin B-2; Endothelin B Receptors; Endothelin B-2 Receptor; Receptor, Endothelin B, Type 2

01/01/2021 - "In this obese ovine model, 30% weight reduction was associated with reduction in total body fat (p < 0.001), LA pressure (p = 0.007), inflammation (p < 0.001), endothelin-B receptor expression (p = 0.01), atrial fibrosis (p = 0.01), increase in atrial effective refractory period (cycle length: 400 and 300 ms; p < 0.001), improved conduction velocity (cycle length: 400 and 300 ms; p = 0.01), decreased conduction heterogeneity (p < 0.001), and decreased AF inducibility (p = 0.03). "
02/01/2005 - "We induced cirrhosis in male Sprague-Dawley rats using common bile duct ligation (CBDL) and exposed them to CH (inspired PO2 approximately 76 Torr) or maintained them in Denver (Den, inspired PO2 approximately 122 Torr) for 3 wk. Our data show 1) CBDL-CH rats had a persistent blunted hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction similar to CBDL-Den; 2) the development of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension was completely prevented in the CBDL-CH rats, as indicated by normal pulmonary arterial pressure and lack of right ventricular hypertrophy and pulmonary arteriole remodeling; and 3) selective increases in expression of ET-1, pulmonary endothelin B receptor, eNOS, and heme oxygenase 1 are potential mechanisms of protection against hypoxic pulmonary hypertension in the CBDL-CH rats. "
01/15/2002 - "In the present study, laser-captured microdissection was performed in regions of WIBC-9 tumors that exhibited VM without endothelial cells, central necrosis, or fibrosis, revealing expression of human-Flt-1 and human-Tie2 and the absence of human-CD31, human-endothelin B receptor, and human-thrombin receptor. "
01/01/2021 - "Sustained obesity was associated with increased left atrium (LA) pressure (p < 0.001), inflammation (p < 0.001), atrial transforming growth factor β1 protein (p < 0.001), endothelin-B receptor expression (p = 0.04), atrial fibrosis (p = 0.01), epicardial fat infiltration (p < 0.001), electrophysiological abnormalities, and AF burden (p = 0.04).
