L-Lactate Dehydrogenase (Cytochrome)
A cytochrome form of lactate dehydrogenase found in the MITOCHONDRIA. It catalyzes the oxidation of L-lactate to PYRUVATE with transfer of electrons to CYTOCHROME C. The enzyme utilizes FMN and PROTOHEME IX as cofactors.
Also Known As:
Cytochrome B2; Flavocytochrome B2; L-Lactate Cytochrome C Oxidoreductase; Lactate Dehydrogenase (Cytochrome); Lactate Flavocytochrome Reductase; Lactate-Ferricytochrome C Oxidoreductase; Cytochrome Reductase, Lactic; Flavocytochrome Reductase, Lactate; L Lactate Cytochrome C Oxidoreductase; Lactate Ferricytochrome C Oxidoreductase; Reductase, Lactate Flavocytochrome; Lactic Cytochrome Reductase
