Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia (Leukemia, Chronic Myelomonocytic)

A myelodysplastic-myeloproliferative disease characterized by monocytosis, increased monocytes in the bone marrow, variable degrees of dysplasia, but an absence of immature granulocytes in the blood.
Also Known As:
Leukemia, Chronic Myelomonocytic; Leukemia, Myelomonocytic, Chronic; Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemias; Leukemias, Chronic Myelomonocytic; Myelomonocytic Leukemias, Chronic; Myelomonocytic Leukemia, Chronic

07/01/1995 - "A patient with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia showed initial elevation of G-CSF with normalization after entering complete remission. "
03/01/2000 - "ACR (0.1 ng/ml) significantly increased the number of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF)-dependent colonies from circulating blast cells in vitro in six out of seven MDS patients with refractory anemia with excess of blast in transformation or chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, but not in all four patients with primary acute myelogenous leukemia. "
08/01/1997 - "In 7 children (5 with neuroblastoma IV, 1 with multifocal Ewing's sarcoma, and 1 with rhabdomyosarcoma IV), stem cells were mobilized by application of G-CSF at a dosage of 15-27.7 micrograms/kg body weight (median 16.25) subcutaneously following high-dose chemotherapy, according to the disease-related protocols, whereas 2 children had PBMNCS to induce graft vs. leukemia (GvL)-reaction in the HLA-identical sibling suffering from relapsed chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML: n = 1), or chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML: n = 1) after allogeneic BMT. "
04/01/2005 - "However, approximately 15% of CN patients develop myeloid malignancies that have been associated with somatic mutations in the G-CSF receptor (G-CSFR) and RAS genes as well as with acquired monosomy 7. We report a CN patient with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) who never received rh-G-CSF. "
03/01/2015 - "The present study describes a case of complete remission in an elderly patient with AML transformed from chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) and the treatment of the case with decitabine in combination with cytarabine, aclarubicin and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (CAG). "

07/01/1994 - "Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMMol) developed in a 10-year-old girl after treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma with a regimen which did not contain epipodophyllotoxins. "
07/01/2017 - "We conducted a phase II multicenter study to prospectively evaluate the feasibility of HSCT after treatment with AZA in 70 patients with a myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), 19 with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and 8 with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML). "
09/01/1994 - "The diagnosis was acute myelomonocytic leukemia (M4, according to the French-American-British/FAB system of classification of acute leukemias) in eight cases, acute monocytic leukemia (M5) in four cases, aleukemic leukemia cutis as a recurrence of M2 leukemia after treatment in one case, and myelodysplastic syndrome in three cases, including one case of myelodysplasia with an excess of bone marrow blasts (RAEB-T) and two cases of chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, one of which presented as aleukemic leukemia cutis. "
01/01/2022 - "Here, we describe the molecular profile of a patient with AML rapidly evolved from a previous therapy-related-Chronic MyeloMonocytic Leukemia, who achieved safely complete remission after treatment with the VEN/Azacitidine combination, even in the presence of SARS-COVID-2 infection. "
07/01/2005 - "A unique case of a 72-year-old man with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) who developed hepatic veno-occlusive disease (VOD) after treatment with a single dose of vincristine and standard doses of cytarabine is described. "
