Donath-Landsteiner hemolytic anemia

An autoimmune hemolytic anemia that occurs in children that is characterized by the destruction of ERYTHROCYTES when the body is exposed to cold temperatures. Diagnostic criteria include the presence of anti-P antibody in the patient's serum and a positive COOMBS TEST for C3d.
