A rare malignant adenocarcinoma of the gastrointestinal tract that is highly metastatic. Histologically, it consists of a mixture of NEUROENDOCRINE CELLS with morphologic and immunohistochemical characteristics of CARCINOID TUMOR and malignant GLANDULAR EPITHELIAL CELLS.
