congenital Woolly hair

A congenital abnormality of scalp hair structure that is characterized by extremely curly and unruly hair that is present from birth or infancy. The curls are about 0.5 cm apart and are closely packed so that the hair is difficult to comb. It generally resolves by adolescence or early adulthood.
