complement C3e (C3e)

MW of 10-12,000; an acidic fragment of COMPLEMENT C3B; generated from the alpha chain of C3b; binds to granulocyte membrane; similar to complement C3d-k, C3e contains the nonapeptide Thr-Leu-Asp-Pro-Glu-Arg-Leu-Gly-Arg and induces LEUKOCYTOSIS.
