N-formylglycine
A compound resulting from the condensation of glycine and formic acid with the formation of an amide bond. In most chemical sources "formylglycine" is used as a synonym for N-formylglycine. However, the active site of sulfatase enzymes, C(alpha)-formylglycine, may also be referred to as formylglycine.
