Review and discussion of statistical analysis of controlled clinical trials in alcoholism.

Abstract
63 controlled clinical trials for drug therapy in alcoholism, published during the period 1970-1991 and investigating the efficacy of four different pharmacological agents are reviewed from the statistical analysis point of view. Outcome criteria, experimental design and appropriate tests are discussed.
