[Histochemical and ultrastructural characteristics of sarcomas induced by plastic strips].

Abstract
During histochemical studies of sarcomas, induced in rats by skin implants of ethacryl plastic, fuchsinophil and argyrophil fibres were found as well as the deposits of chondroitin-4-and chondroitin-6-sulfate in the intercellular space of tumors. Electron microscopy enabled determination of collagen fibrilles and collagen fibre bundles even in low-differentiated neoplasms. Based on the histochemical and ultrastructural features in all these disc-induced tumors are referred to as fibrosarcomas.
