[A temporary synthetic skin subsitute: SYSpur-derm. Comparative histopathological examination (author's transl)].

Abstract
A total of 85 skin biopsies taken from 23 pigs with experimental 3rd-degree burns was tested concerning the efficiency of the synthetic skin substitutes SYSpur-derm (GDR) and Epigard (USA). Both the materials have an excellent wound-cleansing-effect, show good adhesion to the wound surface and have no toxic or antigenic effect.
