[Abdominal splenosis. Apropos of a case].

Abstract
Splenosis, an auto-transplantation of splenic tissue after splenic trauma, is an uncommon condition of which there are relatively few published cases in the literature. We report a case of abdominal splenosis found at autopsy, briefly review the literature, and discuss some of the clinico-pathologic events which may occur in such conditions. Splenosis is an entity of which physicians and surgeons alike should be aware.
