Abstract |
A preventive effect of diphenylhydantoin and pyrroxan was studied in 35 hypertensive patients with frequent hypertensive crises. A course application of placebo served as a control. There were determined critical and neurophysiological (bioelectrical) changes before and after treatment. Determination of bioelectrical changes was conducted using the BFA EEG (qualitative, visual description of frequency and their quantitative values). Diphenylhydantoin and pyrroxan were found to prevent the development of hypertensive crises and improve cerebral bioelectrical parameters in most of patients.
