| Abstract | An orally administrable brucellosis vaccine, Brucella suis strain 2 vaccine was developed in China. The characteristics and merits of the vaccine are described. It is effective for oral vaccination of sheep, goats, cattle and pigs and has been widely used for prevention of animal brucellosis in China over the past 15 years. About 30-40 million doses of the vaccine are produced every year. |
