Abstract
Between November, 1978 and July, 1985 36 recurrent broad-based villous adenomas in the gastrointestinal tract were treated with the Nd:YAG laser. Treatment was successful in 29 patients, who showed no recurrence within a period of six months or more. The average follow-up time was 16 months. Seven patients are still being treated.
