Abstract | BACKGROUND: METHODS: RESULTS: CONCLUSIONS: Patients with excessive bleeding with normal screening tests should be tested for factor XIII using a sensitive assay procedure. The urea solubility assay for factor XIII should be discontinued due to its lack of sensitivity.
