[The use of ethaden in the complex treatment of newly diagnosed patients with infiltrative tuberculosis of the lungs].

Abstract
As a means of the tuberculosis pathogenetic therapy, the authors recommend the use of ethaden belonging to a purine derivative group. Forty two newly discovered cases with infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis in the cavitation phase were subjected to the treatment. Positive outcomes were obtained, as confirmed by clinico-roentgenologic data and lymphocyte functional activity estimate. Higher rates of cavity healing were achieved.
