| Abstract | Cardiac sarcoid is a rare and frequently fatal disease. We report a case of isolated cardiac sarcoid diagnosed during elective cardiac surgery. Although this patient presented with a history that was consistent with sarcoid heart disease, diagnosis is challenging when there is no other organ involvement with sarcoid. The patient was successfully treated with steroids and 8 years later remains clinically free of sarcoidosis. |
