[Detection of adenovirus antigens using immunoenzyme analysis].

Abstract
An enzyme immunoassay test system has been developed for detection of adenovirus antigens, based on avidin--biotin interaction. It is highly sensitive, specific, and effective: it detected adenovirus antigens in 15 percent of 196 patients with acute respiratory diseases (nasopharyngeal washings and aspirates were under study).
