| Abstract | Mycobacterium bovis bacille Calmette Guérin (BCG) is one of the most widely used live vaccines. Technologic advancement in genome manipulation enables the construction of recombinant BCG (rBCG) strains, which can be employed as highly immunogenic vaccines against tuberculosis with improved safety profile. |
