[Tussograph, a device for monitoring tussive impulses]

AbstractThe paper describes the basic circuit of a tussograph, a device that monitors cough in patients with bronchopulmonary diseases. An NKT-I makes it possible to calculate the number of tussive expulsions, total and peak expulsions, as well as to record their time distribution. The device may be useful in the study into the efficacy of new antitussive drugs and the assessment of cough clearance. It can provide an insight into mucociliary clearance.
