[Use of septopal in treatment of serious infections of the fingers].

Abstract
Serious purulent infections of fingers often lead to deformation, handicap of functions or amputation of fingers. Filling the place with Gentamycin-Septopal after removing the slough and infected tissues gives high local concentration of antibiotic and regeneration of the anatomic shape of the finger. 21 patients have been treated. In all cases the wound healed quickly. The remote cosmetic results and the function of the hand were acknowledged as positive by both the patients as the treating team.
