Penicillin treatment of neurosyphilis. Are recommended dosages sufficient?

Abstract
A 60-year-old man with symptomatic neurosyphilis was treated with penicillin G procaine in the dosages recommended by the Public Health Service, and a less than spirocheticidal level of penicillin G was found in the cerebrospinal fluid.
