Keratin-10

A type I keratin that is found associated with the KERATIN-1 in terminally differentiated epidermal cells such as those that form the stratum corneum. Mutations in the genes that encode keratin-10 have been associated with HYPERKERATOSIS, EPIDERMOLYTIC.

09/01/2010 - "The above findings suggest the following mechanism of events underlying KLK8/neuropsin-induced hyperkeratosis: (i) skin inflammation increases KLK8/neuropsin expression in the stratum spinosum; (ii) the released KLK8/neuropsin inhibits AP-2α expression in the cells of the stratum basale and stratum spinosum; (iii) the decrease in AP-2α results in cell proliferation in the stratum basale and cell differentiation in the stratum spinosum, with an increase in keratin 10 expression."
01/01/2018 - "A dose of only 1 × 105 freshly isolated, non expanded Treg injected intradermally in close proximity to the transplanted human skin prevented inflammation of the grafted tissue induced by 4 × 107 IP injected human allogeneic PBMCs, (ratio Treg:PBMC = 1:400), as indicated by the inhibition of epidermal thickening, sustained Keratin-10 expression, the absence of Keratin-16 up regulation and prevention of human CD3+ T cell influx. "
06/15/2019 - "Wound planimetry, histological examination, and biochemical and molecular methods of detecting factors of angiogenesis, inflammation, type I collagen, and keratin 10 and 14 were used to monitor wound healing. "
02/01/2000 - "Biopsies were taken from the treated lesion before treatment, after clearance and at relapse, and cells were analysed by flow cytometry with markers for differentiation (keratin 10), inflammation (vimentin), and proliferation (DNA content). "
08/01/2004 - "Significant reductions in Ki-67, keratin 16, transglutaminase, dermal CD4, epidermal CD8, and inflammation scores were seen after bexarotene treatment in combination with a significant increase in keratin 10. "
