1. Antidepressive Agents (Antidepressants)IBA
2. Fluoxetine (Prozac)FDA LinkGeneric
08/01/1993 - "Fluoxetine subjects showed significantly greater improvement at week 8 than placebo subjects on the Hamilton depression and CGI scales, but not on the Hopkins Symptom Check-list (58-item) or the Cornell Dysthymia Rating Scale. "
01/01/1999 - "The goals of this study were to determine whether fluoxetine is superior to placebo in treating HIV-seropositive patients with major depression or dysthymia or both, whether severity of immunosuppression is associated with treatment response, and whether fluoxetine treatment is associated with change in immune status as measured by CD4 cell count. "
08/01/1999 - "With the clinical availability of fluoxetine in the United States, we were interested in documenting improvements in the clinical care of dysthymic patients beyond what was reported from our clinic 2 decades earlier during the "tricyclic (TCA) era." In open treatment of 42 consecutive DSM-III-R primary dysthymic patients who were personally followed up in our mood clinic since 1988, response was defined as sustained remission, i.e., no longer meeting criteria for dysthymia and achieving DSM-III-R Axis V Global Assessment of Functioning (GAF) score > 70 throughout much of the mean follow-up of 5 years. "
07/01/1993 - "The results show not only the efficacy of fluoxetine in dysthymia, but especially, if we consider the degree of social adaptation, a much better response qualitatively. "
04/01/1997 - "This study was designed to investigate whether fluoxetine is effective in the treatment of dysthymia. "

2. Therapeutics
3. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
4. Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
04/01/2006 - "Partial remission or symptoms of major depression that do not meet criteria for major depression, is predicted by 1) clinical factors, such higher number of symptoms at diagnosis, presence of comorbid dysthymia, and health problems; 2) social variables, such as high levels of perceived stress and low levels of perceived social support; and 3) perceived health/well-being variables, such as limitations in mobility or instrumental activities of daily living, poorer self-perceived health, finding life not satisfying, and looking back over life and finding it unhappy. "
01/01/2020 - "SCID interview for DSM-IV to assess major depression and dysthymia; Center for Epidemiologic Studies-Depression Scale to define subthreshold depression (≥16 points); Mini-Mental State Examination, count of medical conditions, activities of daily living, and mental health treatment to assess health factors. "
11/10/2010 - "Body Mass Index was calculated; functional capacity was assessed through the ADL (activities of daily living) scale; cognition was assessed by Mini-Mental State Examination; and mental health was assessed through the Dysthymia Screening. "
06/01/2002 - "Logistic regression analysis revealed that the likelihood of major depression or dysthymia was associated with years of education (Odds Ratio (OR) = 0.87), difficulties performing activities of daily living (OR = 1.72), and Medicaid enrollment (OR = 2.67). "
12/01/1995 - "Apathy was significantly associated with more severe impairments in activities of daily living, significantly more severe extrapyramidal signs, and a significantly higher frequency of both major depression and dysthymia. "
