203  relevant articles (4 outcomes, 14 trials/studies) found for this Disease

Description: A benign tumor composed, wholly or in part, of cells with the morphologic characteristics of HISTIOCYTES and with various fibroblastic components. Fibrous histiocytomas can occur anywhere in the body. When they occur in the skin, they are called dermatofibromas or sclerosing hemangiomas. (From DeVita Jr et al., Cancer: Principles & Practice of Oncology, 5th ed, p1747)

10/01/1993 - "The consistent presence of CD-34 within all 13 cases of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans can be used as evidence in support of the view that these lesions are variants of nerve sheath tumors, and distinct from benign fibrous histiocytomas which consistently lack the antigen"
12/01/1994 - "RM 3/1 antigen shows a similar, but broader expression pattern including non-Langerhans cell histiocytoses, xanthelasmata palpebrarum, foreign body granulomas, granuloma annulare, and cellular type dermatofibroma"
11/01/1987 - "Characteristic round stromal cells, which were considered to be the main component of the sclerosing hemangioma, consisted of immunohistochemically heterogenous cells, that is, positive findings were attained with all three antigens, surfactant apoprotein- and EMA-positive ones, SC- and EMA-positive ones, only EMA-positive ones, and all three negative"
01/01/1988 - "An immunohistochemical study of six giant cell tumors of bone and eight related lesions (aneurysmal bone cyst, fibrous histiocytoma, and giant cell tumor of tendon sheath) was performed using a panel of monoclonal antibodies directed to the Ia and monocyte-macrophage lineage antigens"
