Acupuncture Analgesia

Analgesia produced by the insertion of ACUPUNCTURE needles at certain ACUPUNCTURE POINTS on the body. This activates small myelinated nerve fibers in the muscle which transmit impulses to the spinal cord and then activate three centers - the spinal cord, midbrain and pituitary/hypothalamus - to produce analgesia.

01/01/2022 - "Studies on the reward effect of acupuncture in relieving chronic pain and the regulating effect of the brain reward loop on acupuncture analgesia help to deepen the clinical understanding of acupuncture analgesia, innovate the research concept of acupuncture analgesia, and provide help for further studies on the central mechanism of acupuncture in improving chronic pain in the future."
08/25/2018 - "The neuronal activities and their information transmission, processing and storage in intercluster neural networks in different brain regions, and the correlation between behavioral changes and electrical activities of neurons in vivo studies are mainly captured by the implanted microelectropode array, etc. If these two (or more) approaches are combined together, it is definitely and highly helpful to reveal the driving dynamics of neural circuits, plasticity and temporal-spatial activity mode of neurons, as well as behavioral reactions of animals with chronic pain during acupuncture analgesia and may open a new prospect for the application of acupuncture analgesia study."
12/01/2012 - "MRI images of DMN in the RNS could reflect chronic pain, which was suitable for studies on the effects after acupuncture analgesia."
03/25/2022 - "Focusing on the reward effect of acupuncture and related brain's reward circuits for chronic pain relief, the research on the regulatory effect of acupuncture analgesia will be conductive to deepen the understanding of acupuncture analgies in clinical practice and innovate a research concept of acupuncture analgeis.
