05/01/1993 - "Newer investigative procedures and therapeutic approaches have led to more accurate diagnoses and improved outcome but further advances await a better understanding of the vasculitides: polyarteritis; Kawasaki disease; Wagener's granulomatosis; and ANCA in childhood."
01/01/2007 - "We screened the sera of 148 MPO-ANCA positive patients from six vasculitic syndromes: rapidly progressive gromerulonephritis (RPGN), microscopic polyangiitis (MPA), idiopathic crescentic glomerulonephritis (I-CrGN), classic polyangiitis nodosa (cPAN), Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS), Kawasaki disease (KD); and from patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). "
10/01/1995 - "Vasculitis of small vessels found in our group of patients are concomitted by ANCA positivity in 90% (Wegener's granulomatosis 15/16, Churg--Strauss's syndrome 3/5, MPA 9/9), vasculitis of medium vessels 12% (classical polyarteritis nodosa 1/2, Kawasaki disease 0/2, Henoch--Schönlein's purpura 0/4, Takayasu's arteritis 1/4). 05/01/1994 - "Our findings indicate that p60 sTNF-R levels in serum may be useful for determining the severity of vascular damage during acute Kawasaki disease, and that patients with Kawasaki disease and high sTNF-R levels seem to be susceptible to coronary artery lesions even if they receive therapy with intravenous infusions of gamma-globulin."
01/01/2003 - "Intravenous infusion of vitamin C significantly increased the percent change in diameter of brachial artery induced by reactive hyperemia in 19 patients with history of Kawasaki disease (6.6 +/- 3.5 to 13.0 +/- 5.5%; P < 0.0001), whereas no significant increase was seen in the percent change in diameter of brachial artery induced by reactive hyperemia in 20 patients with history of Kawasaki disease after placebo administration (6.5 +/- 4.5 to 7.3 +/- 4.9%; P = 0.20). "
09/01/1994 - "We compared the efficacy of oral administration of pentoxifylline (PTX) and intravenous infusions of gamma globulin (IVGG) combination therapy with that of IVGG in reducing the frequency of coronary-artery lesions (CAL) in children with Kawasaki disease (KD), in a randomized trial. "
04/01/2003 - "BACKGROUND: High-dose intravenous infusions of immunoglobulin (IVIG) are well established as a standard therapy for Kawasaki disease (KD) for reducing the risk of coronary artery aneurysms. "
07/01/1998 - "A male infant, aged 2 month, with Kawasaki disease had a myocardial infarction despite intravenous infusions of gamma globulin and aspirin at high dosage. "
