05/01/1999 - "In 30 outpatients with NIDDM GFR was measured as the urinary clearance of continuously infused [125I]iothalamate. "
02/01/1998 - "In 30 outpatients with NIDDM and normo- (n = 10), micro- (n = 9), or macroalbuminuria (n = 11), GFR was measured as the urinary clearance during continuous infusion of 125I-labeled iothalamate. "
01/01/1996 - "CVb and CVr of bolus injection of 51Cr-EDTA, but not CVc of iothalamate and 51Cr-EDTA infusions were twofold to tenfold lower than the percent yearly change reported in IDDM and NIDDM patients. "
09/01/2012 - "The effects of tesaglitazar on renal function (assessed as urinary clearance of 125I-sodium iothalamate or estimated by the modification of diet in renal disease formula) were studied in a 24-week open-label trial in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients randomized to daily doses of either tesaglitazar 2 mg or pioglitazone 45 mg. The aim of the analysis was to develop a population pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic model that could simultaneously describe the interrelationship between tesaglitazar exposure and reduction in renal function over time in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. "
07/01/1993 - "We studied reproducibility of GFR measurements in insulin-dependent and non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus patients using, respectively, a constant-infusion technique with urine collection and labeled iothalamate as a tracer marker and a single-shot procedure using Cr-EDTA, measuring the GFR from the decline in plasma level after bolus injection.
