Papillary Adenocarcinoma

An adenocarcinoma containing finger-like processes of vascular connective tissue covered by neoplastic epithelium, projecting into cysts or the cavity of glands or follicles. It occurs most frequently in the ovary and thyroid gland. (Stedman, 25th ed)

12/01/2006 - "Only weak expression, if any, of Smo and Gli1 proteins was detected in normal gastric mucosa, but in papillary adenocarcinoma, tubular adenocarcinoma and poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, their expressions were significant increased as the differentiation degree was lowered. "
01/01/2001 - "The second tumor was a papillary adenocarcinoma, the same diagnosis as that of the first tumor, and it also showed similar histopathological findings, including immunohistochemical staining of Ki-67 and p53 protein, and the same pattern of K-ras point mutation. "
09/01/1997 - "The gastric cancer was microscopically diagnosed to be papillary adenocarcinoma with serosal invasion and showing immunoreactivity for p53 protein, but not for aggressive angiomyxoma."
08/01/1992 - "There was no correlation between stainability of p53 protein and clinicopathological features such as depth of tumor invasion, microscopic lymphatic invasion, microscopic venous invasion, nodal involvement and clinicopathological stage in papillary adenocarcinoma, well- to moderately-differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma and poorly-differentiated adenocarcinoma with solid nests or focal tubular structures. "
08/01/1992 - "Histopathologically, a nuclear accumulation of p53 protein was seen frequently in papillary adenocarcinoma, well- to moderately-differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma and poorly-differentiated adenocarcinoma with solid nests or focal tubular structures (43/101, 43%), but was rarely seen in signet-ring cell carcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma or poorly-differentiated adenocarcinoma growing in a scattered manner (2/48, 4%).
