Florid cemento-osseous dysplasia

A type of fibro-osseous dysplasia that occurs primarily in middle aged women of African American or Asian descent. It is characterized by lesions in the upper or lower jaw where bone is replaced by connective tissue and abnormal bone. The lesions may occur symmetrically and can expand, resulting in pain and disfigurement.
