Vein of Galen aneurysm

ANEURYSM of the VEIN OF GALEN due to congenital malformations such as failure of the median prosencephalic vein (MPV) to regress during early gestation. In neonates, this causes high output cardiac failure, or may present as HYDROCEPHALUS in infants or older children.
