Colloid cysts of third ventricle

Colloid cysts that occur in the THIRD VENTRICLE with middle age onset. They may cause no symptoms and be discovered incidentally upon examination or autopsy, however, most cases cause chronic HYDROCEPHALUS resulting in HEADACHES; ATAXIA; NAUSEA and VOMITING; DEPRESSION and MEMORY LOSS; severe cases may cause COMA and death. Familial cases appear to exhibit an autosomal dominant inheritance pattern. OMIM: 609363
