Pemphigus and fogo selvagem

A form of Pemphigus foliaceus caused by IgG autoantibodies in the epidermis and endemic to rural Brazilian populations. Lesions often cause painful burning sensations and occur on the face, scalp, and upper trunk, and may spread over the body as ERYTHRODERMA.
