transglutaminase 4

TRANSGLUTAMINASE 4 (TGM4 or TGP) is an extracellular prostate transglutaminase coded by human gene 3p22-p21.33. It suppresses immune response to sperm cells in the female genital tract. Distinguish from GAMMA-GLUTAMYLTRANSPEPTIDASE that is involved with glutathione metabolism.
