10/01/2015 - "TPCC improved patients' understanding of their cancer. "
10/01/2015 - "Seventy patients (Cohort 2) were evaluated after initiation of TPCC, and 68 patients (Cohort 3) were evaluated after modifications based on implementation barriers identified in Cohort 2. The percentage of patients correctly identifying their cancer as incurable increased from 65% in Cohort 1 to 94% in Cohorts 2 and 3. TPCC had minimal impact on hospice utilization, cost of care, survival, patient-reported symptoms, and patient satisfaction, likely because of the limited nature of the intervention. "
01/01/2011 - "Open access (internet) and server--based communication have induced the development of specific medical information platforms, such as iPATH, UICC-TPCC (telepathology consultation centre of the Union International against Cancer), or the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) teleconsultation system. "
07/01/2000 - "The center will function as follows: If a pathologist anywhere on the globe is confronted with the diagnosis of a difficult tumor case, he takes digitized histologic images (5-40 in number) and sends them along with sufficient clinical data to the server of the UICC-TPCC, asking for a second opinion. "
07/01/2000 - "To benefit from this technical development, the International Union Against Cancer (UICC) has decided to establish a Telepathology Consultation Center (UICC-TPCC) for interested pathologists around the world. "
